40th Anniversary Inc. Squared Ruby Jubilee

Hamilton Artists Inc. is 40! 2015 marks Hamilton Artists Inc.’s ruby anniversary and that’s not all, this June also marks the launch of phase one of our long anticipated ArcelorMittal Dofasco Courtyard. Celebrate these landmarks with us while also raising funds for phase two of our community courtyard project at the Inc. Squared Ruby Jubilee on Saturday, June 27! 

In celebration of our ruby anniversary, we’ll be hosting a pretty spectacular bash (if we don’t say so ourselves). All are welcome! The evening will feature a live DJ, signature cocktails, special giveaways and of course art!

This anniversary party continues our annual Inc. Squared fundraising event where you can purchase amazing artwork graciously donated by our talented membership for only $100 each. New this year, we will also host a carefully curated silent auction featuring the work of exceptional emerging and established Canadian artists. Stay tuned as we’ll be posting previews of these and the Inc. Squared works leading up to the event. 

Join us in celebrating our 40-year history, while helping us to continue to fundraise towards a bright and sustainable future. Turning 40 is no small feat and we’d like to think that since our inception we’ve continued to be a pivotal centre for contemporary visual art in Hamilton and beyond. By attending and supporting us through this event, you will be helping us to continue to present challenging contemporary exhibitions, stimulate critical dialogue, and foster local artist initiatives for years to come. 

Tickets will be available online and at Hamilton Artists Inc. during operating hours beginning the first week of June. 

$10 - Students and underemployed
$20 - General Admission
$40 - Ruby Ticket. Limited to 40, includes an exclusive Inc. multiple created specifically for this event.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

We are asking you, our incredible and talented members to support your artist-run centre on the eve of it's 40th anniversary by creating and donating a work of art to the gallery, with all proceeds going towards the second phase of construction of our highly anticipated community courtyard.

Each participating artist will receive one FREE ticket to the event.

GUIDELINES:

- The Inc. will supply a pre-cut ¼ inch plywood board for those who require material (ready for pick-up at the gallery now!) OR, you are welcome to bring in your own work as long as it abides by the specifications below. If bringing your own, please make sure it is prepared to hang/ be displayed.

- Dimensions of work must not exceed 12”h x 12”w, with a maximum depth of 12” Pieces that exceed these dimension restrictions will not be accepted. However, please note that your work may be smaller than 12"x12"x12" (keep in mind the work will be priced at $100).

- Each artist is asked to submit ONE piece only.

- Finished works are to be dropped off during gallery hours between the dates of Wednesday June 17th and Thursday, June 25th along with a completed and signed submission form. If you are unable to deliver your work to the gallery on these dates, please contact gallery staff to make alternate arrangements.
