Stirton Tot Lot Community Mural & Introduction to Spray Painting Workshop
- / Off-site
Hamilton Artists Inc, Clear Eyes Collective, and the Stirton Tot Lot (soon to be renamed the Unity Community Park) are excited to host an interactive mural/ intro to spray paint workshop!
When: Saturday, September 28, 12-4 PM
Where: Stirton Tot Lot/Unity Community Park, Hamilton, ON (intersection of Wilson & Stirton St.).
Unity Community Park is a greenspace between Wilson and Cannon, right at the corner of Stirton Street. A group of neighbours adopted the park in 2021 with the hope of bringing art and gardening to everyone who walks through the park. The park is a beloved space with green grass for neighbourhood dogs, big trees for shade, and a quiet atmosphere in a sound-polluted area. We know all too well that people dump garbage at the park and this has a negative impact on the living beings who use the park everyday. We want to change this space through community art and gardening projects.
Registration will prioritize people who live in the Gibson neighbourhood, or who regularly frequent the park, but spots are open to the general public as well. Use this link to register!
Funding is provided by Ward 3 Councillor, Nrinder Nann.
