Dear Friends and Members of the Inc.,

We are writing to invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, February 2 from 7:00-9:00pm over Zoom. 2022 has brought some major and exciting changes for the Inc. and we’re eager to share them with the membership at the AGM.

As a not-for-profit organization, the Inc. is run by a volunteer Board of Directors which is elected each annual term by our membership (individuals such as you who support the gallery) at our AGM. The Board of Directors help guide the organization towards its vision while ensuring it is responsible, transparent, and sustainable. The Executive Committee (comprised of Board Co-Chairs, Secretary, and Treasurer) works closely with the staff Directors to inform the core functions of the organization such as finances and human resources. Board members also lead committees dedicated to specific functions of the organization including Programming, Development, Special Events and Fundraising, Facilities, Communications, and equity and anti-oppression (NEW Committee). The AGM will include summary reports to share notable highlights and significant achievements of these committees from the past year.

Members of the Inc. in attendance at the AGM may expect to be presented with notes from the 2021 AGM (the ‘Minutes’) and applications from individuals who would like to join the Inc.’s Board of Directors (the ‘Board Slate’). Following review of these applications, members in attendance at the AGM will vote on the inclusion of new applicants to the Board of Directors for a two-year term.

We look forward to telling you about upcoming events and exhibitions, presenting budgets and audited financial statements, updates from our annual giving campaign, and celebrating some incredible successes from the 2021-22 year!

• Proxy form (if you’d like to assign someone else to attend and vote on your behalf)
• Board Slate, with applications to the board from the following members: Elsa Brittin, Dianne Twombly, Sam de Lange, and Breanna Shanahan. Jordyn Stewart is renewing for a second term on the board.

• Annual Report 2022
