Apply to Join the Programming Committee

The programming committee works alongside the Programming Director to guide Hamilton Artists Inc.’s exhibitions and public programming vision. We support Inc. members and the local community, as well as respond to and engage with larger contemporary art discourses regionally and nationally.

We lead and participate in juries and selections processes, facilitate exhibitions, develop policy, and provide support to the selected artists and groups. The Inc.’s programming committee prioritizes anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and equity frameworks through its recruitment, structure and practices. Our programming activities and policy development centre Indigenous, Black and racialized artists; refugee, newcomer and immigrant artists; and artists with disabilities. We convene for two major juries annually, and have programming committee meetings approximately every 2-3 months.

You do not need to be a board member to join a committee. If you are interested in applying, please email a letter of intent to programmingcommittee@theinc.ca
